Yesterday evening, at 8.23pm, the Fire Brigade received a warning of a fire on one floor, on the second floor of a ground floor building plus three floors, in Carrer de la Cort de Valls. The kitchen and dining room were completely burnt down, and the rest of the apartment was affected by smoke and temperature. Firefighters moved 5 crews, which put out the fire and then ventilated the apartment and the staircase, and also evacuated three people who were confined to the balcony, who were taken by the Medical Emergency Service. The occupants of the home were unable to return home tonight. The municipal architect is expected to review the structure. As a precautionary measure, they evicted the neighbors from the adjoining buildings.
